Rotary Club's Distinguished Artist Award
On December 5th the Rotary Club of Santa Fe declared Mark Spencer recipient of its prestigious award, Distinguished Artist of the Year for 2021. The award highlights Mark’s deep commitment to his art for over half a century: his oil paintings are in private and public collections world-wide, and he is a valued member of the Santa Fe arts community. Mark’s name is now added to the esteemed list of artists who have received this award since its inception in 1981: Eliot Porter, Allan Houser, Glenna Goodacre, Luis Tapia, Dan Namingha, Tom Joyce, Bruce Nauman, and Forrest Moses, just to name a few of the 40+ recipients.
